About Elisabeth Philipps at Hartwell Nutrition

Elisabeth passionately believes in promoting the benefits of good food, diet and lifestyle having seen the benefits first hand..

After consulting a nutritional therapist, she successfully restored her own health and vitality after being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) several years ago. This experience gives Elisabeth a deep understanding of the nutritional therapy process and recovery journey. She is also aware for the need to devise realistic, individual programmes for clients to achieve their own personal goals.

Elisabeth qualified as a Nutritional Therapist after gaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Medicine from Thames Valley University. Elisabeth has also completed a Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) at Kings College London and gained her PhD in Neuropharmacology and Biochemistry at Oxford University, giving her a well rounded knowledge of human biochemistry and physiology. As an experienced research scientist she keeps up to date with the latest clinical research. Elisabeth regularly attends conferences and seminars hosted by experts in the nutritional medicine field and undertakes extensive reading of nutrition and science literature to include the latest advances into her practice. This provides the most beneficial service to each of her clients.

Other experience
Elisabeth is a member of the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP). She has also taught Food Technology GCSE and A-Level at a local school, helping the younger generation to understand the importance of good food and nutrition and to develop cookery skills. She has a keen interest in yoga and has completed the Foundation Teacher Training Course with the Independent Yoga Network.

Elisabeth practices all areas of nutrition, especially supporting Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, stress and stress related illnesses. She currently practices in Olney, Northamptonshire at TopFloor Wellbeing and also in North Buckinghamshire from the Stony Stratford Natural Therapy Centre, Milton Keynes
